AVI-SPL

I think there's lack of knowledge and support in trying to resolve the issues we were experiencing with the Teams Meeting Room. Did not provide a solution to the initial issue with Intune Mobile Device Mgmt prevented connectivity. Despite numerous attempts to solve, AVI-SPL deferred to Microsoft for troubleshooting. Later experienced connectivity issues with Teams. AVI-SPL did not offer any solutions or attempts to help. After over a month working with Microsoft, discovered a previously unannounced Teams upgrade resulted in authentication issues. Microsoft recommended AVI-SPL as a preferred partner. I would expect AVI-SPL to be more knowledgeable and supportive in trying to resolve the above issues, especially since we purchased the one-year support plan.

For the more basic issues they do a good job correcting them. In my experience, for some of the more complex problems, it seems like they dont have enough tier 2 techs/engineers available to help troubleshoot with the techs that are at the site. In my experience the techs come on site and dont really know what the solution was at the end of the day. Seems like a lot of rebooting the system many times to finally get the system back up and running (temporarily). Our system may be different then others but that should hinder the support we get from AVI. I believe that our set up may be different than what they are used to seeing and it seems like it takes them all day to fix the issues and when asked what the fix is there isnt a whole lot that they point to. Again most of the time it is rebooting the devices and checking the Biamp. In my experience, I recall a time where they said "out engineering cant connect to the server we have (this is their equipment) The tech ended up giving up with the engineer who was trying to connect up to their system that is on site and there was no follow up regarding that connection that could not be made. I would have expected them to troubleshoot further but it takes them all day to get the rooms back in order since they aren't sure what is the issue I believe and then they don't want to troubleshoot the connectivity issue with the engineer after because it took so long to correct the original problem in my opinion.

Very good in USA and not so good globally for VC equipment

AVI is good for multi-projects with a national footprint. As one of many parts of a new construction project, it is very helpful to make one call and know it will get done correctly. They can be a bit more expensive, but you generally get what you pay for and I appreciate their consistency and ease to work with.

I have worked with Greg M. for years and Greg and his team have always provided exemplary service in whatever was asked of them. I can't think of any other team in the industry that I've worked with who provide better and more consistent customer service than the team we work with at AVI-SPL.

I only use AVI-SPL for box sales. My team installs the equipment. They are well suited for this. They frequently provide the best pricing.

AVI-SPL does a great job when our conference rooms break and malfunction. I feel like their response time and attention to detail on the service of our rooms is great.

AVI-SPL seems to not prioritize smaller/express projects and the transition from ADTECH systems to AVISPL was slow and clunky. Project timelines were dramatically longer than they should have been.

I think AVI-SPL is well suited for any audio or visual needs. They are also a great partner when collaborating with other vendors. We particularly appreciated Jourdan as she helped to work with our other vendor and incorporate staff within AVI-SPL to accomplish the task. She is very knowledgeable about the industry and how AVI-SPL solutions can be used for partnered solutions.

When you know what you want and how it should be done, they can be an asset. However, you still need to have a PM staff that can do the follow-up and verify execution, as I have found them short-cutting some things. If you don't know what you want or how to get it done, then they will do what they want and you may not get what you need.

AVI-SPL has always been able to bring me to my end result in the A/V environment. They can do design work, installation and support with great confidence and knowledge. I have never been let down from my perspective. They have a great knowledge base within the organization and wonderful relationships with the vendors they use. This is very helpful in finding products to implement within the project you are working on. Because of this, options you may not have thought about will be presented to you for consideration.

AVI-SPL was a super easy company to work with to meet our electronic and accessory needs to support our processes. I value their customer service experience, and always trying to work hard to coordinate what I need. I had a changing order based on management feedback, and they were able to give me different quotes and options right away, which met my needs.

Purchasing equipment from AVI-SPL is perfectly seamless. They do so much more than just box sales but I think they do this better than most large equipment vendors. Due to us having our own internal team we're less inclined to use AVI-SPL for design & installation work but if/when we need help AVI-SPL is the first and only partner we call.

Conference room setups and broadcast quality equipment were the areas we had excellent experience with. We had no negative experiences at all!

Any small or large scale installation of presentation software and hardware like a large conference room

Extremely well suited for large enterprises that have multiple sites that need on-going support. Can be slightly more expensive in situations where they do not have a local office or installer, as they will facilitate with a local vendor and then add a % to the invoice. If you are moving a small volume of products or have a single project you may be better suited going with a smaller boutique firm.

They are larger and have a National presence. We have office across the National and they can accommodate by using their regional offices.

I would highly recommend AVI-SPL because of their abilities as an all-around quality solutions provider. They assist with carrying forward a solution from ideation through to implementation and maintenance. During the consultation phase, AVI-SPL asked probing questions and provided meaningful recommendations based on our specific needs. This was great considering the fact that, as customers, we sometimes don't know what we don't know.

They are able to cover our 21 global offices that are in US, EU and APAC. Overall they are able to address issues that occur, but not always and we have to live with those. It takes a very long time to get a quote from them and often times it has no real level of detail, thus price transparency is lacking.

AVI-SPL is the go-to for large, complex projects that require a thoughtful planning and engineering phase. There is also comfort in knowing they have a nationwide pool of talent to pull from. I have found that smaller projects tend to not get the same attention to detail.

Our customer wanted a high-end conference room designed. AVI-SPL helped us design and deploy a top-notch room that exceeded our customer's needs and will lead to a more similar business. AVI-SPL provided suggestions on furniture, Audio, conference equipment, and displays, AVI-SPL was there to offer many options and provide info on how everything would work together. We rely on them heavily for this service and having their support us allows us to direct our focus on getting more business.

We are a firm with a large domestic and international footprint. AVI is one of the few integrators in this market that can provide diret local support in most locations.

Phillip Henry is great to work with for the ordering and installation of large touch screen displays. He is knowledgeable and friendly throughout the process from start to finish.

AVI-SPL has the expertise and buying power to perform the work required by our organization. Because AVI-SPL knows our organization from working on several projects in the past, they understand the unique requirements for our audio-visual systems design and performance. They also know our project managers and have good working relationships with the team, which ensures better communication and execution of the installations. AVI-SPL has recently been overextended, performing two major projects at the time time. Adequate labor hasn't been consistently provided to complete work as a result. In addition, some of the labor doesn't have enough experience to effectively tackle punchlist items that arise at the end of install.

AVI-SPL has been a great partner in getting things to us quickly. They provide quick bid responses and are very communicative. I wish their bid submittals were easier to understand with line pricing. I feel like they add a lot of boilerplate items that aren't always applicable to all bids, so it makes parsing through their submittals difficult at times. But overall, they are a terrific vendor, and we've come to rely on them. I appreciate how easy they are to work with on projects.

If your project is not time sensitive, then by all means get in contact with AVI-SPL they can really help you on your planning and needs.

If your project really depends on timing, I suggest try to look somewhere else, they might promise you delivery date by one date and it could take weeks or months to finally get what was promised to you.
